VIDEO AUDITIONS

LEARN HOW TO CREATE AN AUDITION VIDEO
WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE CREATING YOUR VIDEO

Video length: Your Video Audition should not exceed 12 minutes total.

Audition attire: Leotard, tights and ballet shoes (no skirts).

Audition filming: Video Auditions should be filmed in a proper dance studio. Filming should show the dancer’s entire body. There should be minimal video editing.
HOW TO CREATE YOUR VIDEO

Start your video audition by introducting yourself. In English, please state your full name, age, current dance school, and where you are from.

Include the following barre work demonstrated on both sides. Barre work should not exceed 4 minutes.

Plies
-
Tendu with degage
-
Adage with port de bras
-
Grand battement
-

Include the following centre work demonstrated on both sides. Centre work should not exceed 4 minutes.

Pirouettes
-
Adage
-
Petit Allegro
-
Grand Allegro
-
Pointe Work (Required for students ages 15+)

If you are auditioning for a full-year program, please include the following additional work. This portion of your audition should not exceed 4 minutes.

A ballet solo or variation. If you are age 15 or older and auditioning for a full-year program, this must be demonstrated en pointe.

A contemporary solo or contemporary class phrases.

You must upload and submit the following photos: current headshot, photo in 1st Arabesque, and photo in Tendu a la Seconde.

In addition to your Video Audition and photo submissions, please upload a dance resumé/CV.
